Pretty much the rest of the week (11-14.09.2008)

Thursday = Moving day! Our new home (for the next 5 weeks) lie in Mt. Gravatt East. Address can be obtained for those in want :) Pictures of the place could be posted had they been taken, but they are not taken, and now it is too messy to even think about it. We live with a family (2 parents and a 3-year old), along with a couple from The Czech Republic and a girl from Switzerland. They all seem very nice.

So we got all settled in (yeah right, we didn't unpack until Saturday) and went out to the Valley. We managed to find the place, and the dude, which was super cool. I love a challenge. And we also got to buy candy from a place nearby... I am now addicted to Red Skins from Wonka. I keep thinking about Willy Wonka, and it is truly amusing. Speaking of famous persons in books: so many of the streets here have names from Jane Austen or other English literary history (Wickham, Mansfield, Eyre...). I am amused.

We also came across drunk people in the Valley. (No, are you kidding me?) But this one dude was really funny. He had a friend with him, or as the friend said: "I am his apologizer. I am sorry for everything he has done." Drunk dude hugged Julie and I until I told him I'd mutilate him if he continued.

Took a taxi home, slept, woke up sometime Friday and went shopping in the city! I went bohemian crazy for some reason and got myself a brown skirt with lace trimming, a pair of green earrings, a purplish dress and a floral dress... Who's pleading temporary insanity? I am!

Well, we got home by taxi. Again. This is getting expensive :S But we are flying high on thinking we save so much on not drinking anyway.. right? So, Saturday we didn't do all that much, except spend approx. 3 hours at the Mall and that's about it. Julie bought a new, no, wait, two new pairs of shoes. (You will hear about them later) One pair was high-heeled, so I'm really excited about that :P

Sunday we (read: I) unpacked all the stuff that was still in my suitcase, as we had bought shelves on Saturday, and Julie had been a good girl unpacking that day. Shame on me.
