Eating Australian economy

I'm still fascinated by the fact that most of the buses we take here tend to be between 5-30 minutes late, and the only reason why you don't miss your connection is that the other bus is late as well. We still made it to school in time though, so it turned out alright. We were at Nathan Campus today, having lectures on indigenous culture with Dr Leah Burns. Anni showed up and we had some information on our excursion to Stradbroke Island tomorrow, and then we went outside were people from the Gumurrii centre had arranged a barbecue for us. We had our first kangaroo sausages which actually weren't that bad really, even Miss Picky liked those :). John from the Gumurrii centre told me I was about to eat Australian economy (kangaroo) when he gave us kangaroo sausages (hence the headline for todays blog). Hanne had to run to the library for her meeting with a Russian computerguy from the Gold Coast which they had imported to help her get school-internet on her acerlinuxsmthsmth, and after being aggressive with her 'baby' for an hour, he gave up. We beeped our way to Garden City, I bought a comfy squidgly pillow for the 12h drive to Bourke, we had some food, and went home. The bus driver forgot which dirction he was going and went the wrong way, driving us around in a giant circle before ending up at Garden City again. Luckily for us, he got it right the second time, and we made it home. We were good girls and did some tidying up before we were served dinner; fish+ mac/cheese (yes, on the same plate). Rather unexpectedly, it was good. Hanne has spent some time looking through pictures from yesterday and writing the blog, so I thought I'd just finish the one for today. I'll also try to finish Zigzag Street today before I have to go to bed. I was in the middle of something when I had to put it down, and now I want to know what's gonna happen, and I'm refusing to let Hanne spoil it for me. I hate when that happens. I know I'm gonna summon Nick Earls now, but I just have to say that it is a really good book. And it's funny. And I like it. And Nick: I promise, I'm gonna try to stop Hanne from shouting your name in our blog. I suppose she's slightly stalkerish as well.
