Cairns! (08.11.08)

We managed to get back into the country, and we were picked up by a friendly chap from Down Under Tours. He drove us to the hotel, the 4,5 star Novotel Oasis Resort, which was great. The air was really humid, and it was very nice and warm compared to cold Japan. We had the day off, so Hanne and me decided to sleep until room service opened at 11am (it was now about 6am), as we were really hungry, and really sleepy. We slept until 11, and we ordered food. I had a steak sandwich, and Hanne potato wedges, and it was great. It was fooood.

We were very rested, so we put on our swimwear and headed for the lovely pool we had seen at the hotel. That pool was brilliant. It was really large, and very warm. I spent most of the day in the pool, before I met up with Hanne in the hotel room again, and we ordered more food from room service. This time we went for pizza, which turned out to be enourmous. We spent some time watching tv, I in my spacious comfy double bed, and Hanne in her spacious comfy double bed. I wrote some more blogposts since we were 'slightly' behind on that area, and we ordered more food when it had become evening. This time we shared a lasagne, fruit platter and I had some garlic bread. Yummy. We went to bed, knowing the next day would involve some fun!
